Every so often, you might want to wander from the sand and surf. But pack lightly, because everything you need is right down the road. Musquodoboit Harbour (mus-ka-daw'-but) is just minutes away and offers: restaurants, grocery stores, craft shops, a bank, gas station, school, library, hospital and RCMP/local police detachment. This small community also has a very rich history: the town was settled by Loyalists in the 1780s and its name originates from the Mi’kmaq term “Muskoodeboogwek,” meaning “roll out in foam, or suddenly widen out."
